Fathers Day

We went to Wasa Lake yesterday for Fathers Day. A bike ride began the beautiful sunny day, followed by a bbq and ending with the beach. A good day! :) When I asked Kevin what he wanted for lunch on our picnic he said, "hot dogs would be good"... ha! Spoken like a true Celiac;) It was his first hot dog in over a year, only due to the fact that I can't find hot dog bun form pans ANYWHERE! The gluten free buns I bought were over $1 each and rock hard... ugh. Roasting "ash-mewows" ("marshmellows" in Aiden-language)... mmm! I'd smile too if I fell asleep on a nice warm beach :) Don't be fooled - this water was brutally cold! The kids didn't seem to mind after they were all wet... happy to be in the lake again!! A looooong day when you miss a nap;) Our little girl has turned into a cute little chubbers!!!

Isla Elise Israelson

Our littlest addition came 8 days early (Thank the Lord!!!) May 14th @ 6:46am :) She weighed 8lbs 10ounces, 52.5cm/20.7in long, with a head circ. of 34.5cm/13.6in. Her name, Isla (pronounced "eye-la"), is a Scottish name, simply meaning "Island". We chose it b/c it sounded more beautiful to us than all the others:) Her second name, Elise, is a French name meaning "God's Promise". A big little girl for being a week early! The labour/delivery went fantastic (Thank the Lord again!)... my water broke at 2:45am, I felt great for another hour, somewhat less great the next hour, definately felt "officially" in labour for the following hour... only to have about 1.5 pushes for this little girl to arrive in the end! The Three Amigos... *ahem* I mean, monkeys! :)

Mothers Day

I guess this will be my fourth ever Mothers Day today! Two pooks with one more on the way... I realized over dinner this evening that this time next year we will be have a two week span for which we'll be celebrating Mothers Day, Baby #3's 1st Birthday and our 8th Anniversary. Yikesa! Lol.... too bad we couldn't spread those out a little more but I'm glad to be celebrating such wonderful occasions no matter their date!!! Anyway, here are some pictures from our day... I was treated to breakfast in bed (cinnamon bun, eggs, orange slices, juice & coffee), a big sparkly love-filled home-made card, fresh "flowers" from our own garden (*ahem* front lawn), a Chai Latte and stroll around Kimberly's Platzl, a walk to the Marysville Falls, dinner on the ski hill (Kelseys) and lots of hugs and kisses at bedtime. My life is complete! =) These are the "beautiful flowers" Atalie hand-picked for me this afternoon! :) And of course, the lovely card I received shortly before breakfast (complete with Dora, Thomas The Train and Princess stickers!)... Our walk to the falls... not sure what Atalie is doing here - hahaha!! A quick family photo, which turned out surprisingly well! It's not actually easy to set up your camera on a rock and bend down to focus it while sporting a rather large watermelon in your belly! My sweet little girl snuggling and posing away!
