more Israelsons:)

Jeff (Kevin's brother) and Kristy and fam. swung by for a visit Tuesday, to help on the house and catch up on lost time. It was so good to see them again - I don't even know the last time we saw some of our family. That would largely be due to this house project we've got going here... so little time for escaping anywhere! Anyway here's a few pics from their visit. Jeff's birthday is today so we had an early celebration with some cake. The kids dug right in:) ...as did Atalie:) This little guys turned 1 month old on Tuesday.

Sheets & Shingles

Kevin swapped work over the weekend with our friend who is also building a house. He had the help of a couple of friends to sheet the roof on Sunday, and will have the help of a local roofer to sheet the roof today... infact he was working on the house himself yesterday, having a heck of a time trying to figure out how he was going to learn the art of shingling while doing it quick enough to be finished in a couple of days. I asked God to send someone his way to help with the roof, when Kev later told me that a roofer came by to offer his services! WOOHOO! PTL! I tell ya, Canal Flats has some fantastic people. God bless em! Anyway Kev's brother Jeff, and his family, are here visiting us for a couple days. So Kevin is making the most of Jeff's help by attempting to get the roof done today and begin putting doors and windows in tomorow. We're hoping that when my brother (Tyler) comes to help on Saturday the two of them will be able to finish the doors and windows, thus being ready for my Dad to wire the main floor on Sunday/Monday. Otherwise, the wiring will have to wait a week or so until he can come back. But without further ado, here's some current pictures:

3 weeks old, a haircut & a trip to the park!

Well we haven't had any recent pictures to post of the house b/c not much has changed. However, Kevin has decided to take time off work to get the exterior completed... could be a couple weeks, could be a month... we don't know. But it will save us time and money in the longrun b/c we won't have to pay extra interest and insurance penalties for going over our time limit (December 6th). It's also very exciting b/c there will be so much more progress to see in the coming days/weeks!! As for the homefront, Aiden turned 3 weeks old yesterday. Here's a few shots. Atalie had her 2nd "official" haircut today! I've cut it a couple times when she was younger but she just won't sit still long enough for me to do it anymore. So we headed off to the hair salon, where she'd feel a little more intimidated, thus a little more hesitant to wiggle around;) It works!! After her haircut we headed to the park to let them (Atalie and Zack) burn some energy.

A serious phone talker!

Atalie has a cute obsession with the phone. She pics up the cell phone (an old one, which we've taken the battery out of) and walks around the house with it to her ear, chattering a mile a minute and making hand movements as though she's having a genuine conversation with someone:) ... currenlty we sit at the computer with our phones, her on her cell phone and me on the real phone, which she promptly brought to me in an attempt to have a little conversation... and so we chat;)

Small Update

Well... the house feels like it's on hold, which it's not, it's just slow going right now. Last weekend was a dud - rained half of Saturday and all day Sunday - so we headed to Cranbrook for some grocery/clothes shopping on Sunday. Otherwise, things around here have been pretty "normal", if there is such a thing. Here's some pics of around home (current home, not the new one). Our BIG little dude gets a bath and seems to enjoy it:) Mom has her hands full - Grumpy and Sleepy. Aiden is forever sleeping it seems... Atalie is seen looking like quite the little girl while sporting her new clothes and ponytail (her hair has been too short until recently).

Uncle Tyler and more

Here's some pictures of Aiden's first bath (we totally forgot to take pics during his bath), Atalie playing with Grandma, Atalie eating her own donut at Tim Hortons, Kev's hot tan lines and Uncle Tyler hard at work (and play). It was a GEORGOUS fall weekend here!!! Mid-twenties and sunny all day:) Who wouldn't want to be outside? ...even if on a roof...
