Isla - 2 months old

I took these when Isla was two months old (2.5 weeks ago already). She's pretty stinkin' sweet!!! :) She loves when you help her stand up and is always leaning forward to try to sit up and look around - a social bug!

Bike ride to the beach!

About a week ago I said to Kevin, as we were biking through town to the lake, "You know, a person could get into shape pretty quick if they did this even a few times per week! You might have to drag my butt out here more often!". Well, he held me to it. We went again last night and needless to say it was tiring but well worth the excersize and family time spent OUT of the house! Here are some pics: The lake is always chilly when you first stick your foot in it but it never lasts long. Aiden didn't hesitate for even a second! But that's Aiden I guess... Even Isla was anxious to take part in all the fun! :) Our man in motion!! We didn't bring Attie's bathing suit (oops) so this is how she swam;) "....let's go alreadyyyyy!" Haha:)

baby face - almost eight weeks old!

Isla will be eight weeks on Friday. She just keeps getting cuter!!! How is it possible? We've asked that every time and still haven't come up with an answer. Anyway, she's doing great. She had a doc. apt. last week and weighed 11lbs 8oz. She's been smiling a lot this past week and has just started "talking"! She's been sleeping long stretches at night (6-8 hours) and has been a sweet, content little girl!!!

1st Camping Trip of the season... with 3 kiddos!

Why not start the camping season out with a bang?!? A little rain never hurt anybody! Infact, if you take three kids and a dog along you won't even notice the rain! It's true!! We went to Whiteswan Park with the fantastic Koenig clan and camped in what must have been the last two spots in the entire park (kid you not!)... that is, until the rain began... then we had many to choose from:) The kids thought it amusing to stick themselves in the dog kennel. So did we;) Daddy snuggles both girls... what are Daddy's for right? Isla smiles inspite of the rain (see? nobody's noticing the rain) Aiden clings to Kev... just a smidge high. Going for a walk to enjoy our two hour sunny period!! Playing in the flowers (obviously not posed for at all... haha) Sweet sweet munchkins! Picked teeny tiny strawberries!! They didn't taste nearly as sweet as they look... but it was fun:) Dirty little fingers find pretty little flowers:) "What?! You mean you won't let me ride on your foot the rest of the walk?!???" "Alright I'll walk if I must." Koda awaits some steak leftovers... Lussier (Whiteswan) Hotsprings!!! Playing Mom for the day... no hotsprings for us :( She would have been okay in the warm water but it seemed like too much hastle to change her and the others afterwards. A full day! I kid you not, I had eight (8!!) loads of laundry to do when we got home. That's an outstanding record for us... blankets, sheets, wet clothes, etc etc etc. One person asked me if it was worth it. I said in small doses;)

Fathers Day

We went to Wasa Lake yesterday for Fathers Day. A bike ride began the beautiful sunny day, followed by a bbq and ending with the beach. A good day! :) When I asked Kevin what he wanted for lunch on our picnic he said, "hot dogs would be good"... ha! Spoken like a true Celiac;) It was his first hot dog in over a year, only due to the fact that I can't find hot dog bun form pans ANYWHERE! The gluten free buns I bought were over $1 each and rock hard... ugh. Roasting "ash-mewows" ("marshmellows" in Aiden-language)... mmm! I'd smile too if I fell asleep on a nice warm beach :) Don't be fooled - this water was brutally cold! The kids didn't seem to mind after they were all wet... happy to be in the lake again!! A looooong day when you miss a nap;) Our little girl has turned into a cute little chubbers!!!
