Sold the condo!

Yes this is just a brief update to say thanks for prayin - God has responded within our "deadline" and we are truely greatful! We accepted an offer for our condo Sunday night, so all we're waiting for now is completion of the finishing in our unit and we can have the dough :) :) I'll tell you though, this has been one heck of a learning curve! There's so much to learn about buying/selling, especially when you're flipping something and sellig before completion - lots of extra fees and rules everywhere you look! We didn't end up making quite as much as we had calculated, due to our own naivity (is that a word?), but that's okay. It was definately worth it and wow - what a financial blessing. We'll be able to rid ourselves of debt (for the most part) and begin fresh... something that otherwise would have taken at least 5 or 6 years! God is gracious. ..sorry, no pics this time ;)

vtwin - not twins

Our big purchase, mostly thanks to the buyer of our condo, was a Yamaha V-twin 1100. Pretty nice. Kev is stoked. Kendra doesn't have to hear about bikes anymore... or so she thought;) Actually, she kinda likes it - alot! What can he say? Not much. I think he's happy! Here she is, in all her glory:)

6 months old!

The cutest green goblin you've ever seen is sporting her new hairbow she got yesterday:) Have to do something with all that hair! Hmmm... who can guess what she's gonna want 16 years from now??? Atalie has just begun sprouting her first tooth! It's tiny and sharp like a razor, but she's not too bothered by it so far... well, we've had one episode but that was cured with some numbing gel & baby tylenol :) Cute as a button!

Planning to move...

We've decided to make a move from Kelowna to Invermere, BC. It's a little closer to friends/family, but alot different than what we're used to here in Kelowna! We've both grown up in small towns and have come to appreciate the personal feel and familiarity of them, not to mention a much slower pace and lack of traffic. Yes! Small town Invermere has about 5,000 people and is a tourist haven in both the summer & winter... most likely b/c it is one of the prettiest towns with the most stunning scenery we may have ever seen!! It has a ski hill 15 minutes from town and is surrounded by gigantic snow-capped mountains and picturesque lakes everywhere you look. We just got word Sunday evening that we will likely be renting a 3-bed cottage for the winter... that means there's an extra bed if anybody feels inclined to visit us!!! It's located on a quiet street next to the water, in an even smaller town called Windermere, which is about 2km from Invermere (the town comes complete with a few houses, a restuarant and a gas station!). These pics were taken late Saturday afternoon, so you get a true feel for the pace of Invermere :) Kev's checkin out the river alongside the road to Panorama. Another beautiful view, maybe 5 minutes out of town. Atalie gets to stretch her feet after being in her carseat for FAAAAR too long! One happy camper gets to honk the horn and pretend to drive. As for practical things, Kevin has a job lined up already, working for a great guy with friendly employees and constant interesting work. He'll still be in carpentry, but doing much different work now - building beautiful custom (& expensive!) homes, on both large projects & small private ones; some log homes; and a large project on a georgous 10,000 acre ranch. The ranch has a few cool projects: they'll be restoring a HUGE old barn built in 1895, a few new barns, a resort-style guest house, and a small log cabin & dock on a private lake. Apparently the log cabin is available to all his employees whenever the owner is not using it (who happens to live in Calgary most the year). Yeah! So the unknown has been narrowed down a little since we've been to visit, however there is one thing which intimidates us about all this. We have to sell our condo before the move, which we've committed to being on the 28th of October. Hmmm... faith has been forced into place while doubt still tries to gain on us every now and then. So if you think of us from time to time, please send up an SOS for a quick sale!!

Attie's 1st Haircut!

Last Friday was a big day for a little girl. She got about an inch chopped off her little mop. The dark baby hair is disappearing too, as she seems to be getting very blonde little locks! It's still curly, however you can't really tell here b/c we've styled it straight (it seems easier to keep "nice" when straight) ... what can you do ... A super cuteness smiles with her new haircut!!

Atalie had some fun with Dad today! up... ...and down:) Good tummy times! Minty goodness in minty green PJs. Attie made some new friends last week. Dan played a few songs for her on his guitar and he was her next best friend! Leah had some good girl time too, teaching her how to bake a cake with her hands:)
